Moving on - Our bouncy castle days are definitely over

It's a pity because I still want to bounce. I knew a day would come when your kids outgrow you, and it's most definitely here for me. There are things that I still want to do like run around in the park, play frisbee, swim in the pool and jump in a bouncy castle - however, it seems like nobody wants to do that with me anymore.

Nigel at nine, having the time of his life!

So we've settled in a more sombre (and boring) family now. Shopping, eating, watching TV. Even going to the cinema to catch a movie these days can be considered an adventure! What have we become?

Is this because they got all the jumping out of their system when they were younger and leaping around aimlessly is no longer something they want to do anymore?

Celebrating Nigel's 20th birthday in advance!
Well, in the army he has to jump over obstacles and poisonous snakes.

I certainly miss those days when I had to run around with them - either to catch them or make sure they didn't get kidnapped.
