Just like Last Christmas
There's nothing wrong with being stuck in Singapore - in fact, it is a good reminder to not take overseas holidays for granted, be appreciative for what we have here, and the ability to spend quality time with family and friends.
But there's a certain amount of what you might call "cabin fever" if you think of the familiarity of our little country a cabin. Yes, humans for centuries have gone out to explore - out of their caves, their islands, countries, eventually their planet and even solar system. There's an excitement about seeing something new and experiences that take you out of your comfort zone.
At least we have a myriad of food options around which allows us to give our tastebuds little holidays |
And with older kids, things like visits to the zoo and climbing playgrounds no longer make the cut, so it's always a challenge to keep these people engaged.
Anyway, the most important thing is we're safe, together and not hungry.
