... and we're back to school
It seemed to drag on forever, and yet it went by in a flash. It's almost like living on a planet that is located near a black hole in which time behaves in a weird way - but I think it has more to do with the whole phenomena a.k.a. 2020. Wearing masks for long periods plays tricks on your mind.
Anyway, we had more than 2 months of holiday at the end of last year and we couldn't travel out of the country, given the COVID-19 pandemic (for future reference sake, in case I read this in 10 years time and wonder), we were stuck in Singapore.

Bottom line, we had lots of fun moments as a family. Even though we couldn't travel to less-familiar places or experience wintry conditions, we did enjoy ourselves and took-away memories that would hopefully last for years to come, amidst the troubles of a year most people might actually prefer to forget.
The kids knew that we were trying our best to not just keep them entertained, but make the most of the holiday to bond, build relationships and have a blast (see what I did there with 3 Bs?). They thanked us for taking them places, eating in nice restaurants and cafes, and going out of our way to make this holiday as exciting as we could, given the restrictions.
My constant thought: If you told me twelve months ago that everywhere I looked I would see every single person wearing a mask, I might have asked which planet this was.
