Our final PSLE has just begun

This morning, the PSLE papers started, and it will only end next week. The stressful culmination of six years of preparation, slogging and tears finally arrived this morning to much fanfare and excitement. In the car on the way to school, Amber was verbally going through various "good phrases" she could use in her English composition like "the relentless beating of my heart" and "he looked as pale as a Pontianak on a moonlit night" and "she screamed out loud like a banshee on steroids" - some of those were exaggerated by me of course, but now I wish I mentioned them to her, as they sound like A* material!!
Recycled paper is always put to good use in our house!
The parents had a prayer session in the morning (and for the next few mornings) for the students and we said a rosary for them, hopefully, it worked. I guess the idea is not for God to give them the knowledge they require (that would be spiritual cheating, but still ...) but to keep them calm so they can do their best.

After all, if you enter the exam hall like a neurotic banshee with a heartbeat as fast as a Formula One car, chances are you're not going to be doing very well.

Good luck Amber!
