Just like
last year, the company once again did its part as a global citizen and organised a shoreline cleanup for employees to volunteer their time and energy. Collectively, we could come together to do our part and pick up rubbish on the beach and not be mistaken for CWO offenders. 😆

She used to play on the sand, and she still does! |
As with last year, it was also scheduled during the school holidays which meant it was a
Drag your Children Along event. Unfortunately Amber couldn't make it (although she really wanted to come), but Nigel and Shannon did - quite willingly I must say, and did a great job scouring the beach and grassy areas for bottles, polystyrene, bags, home appliances, and other surprising collectibles.

Nigel found a golf ball which he insisted on keeping. |
What a fantastic chance it was to remind the younger generation that it is essentially our responsibility (even though it might not have been directly our fault) to keep our home, country, planet clean for the sake of everyone. And that if we are not careful, the earth would become one big rubbish heap, killing life, depriving living things of a clean and safe environment to grow and flourish. It is easy to turn a blind eye and hope that someone else would do it, but sometimes it comes down to us making the difference, even if it's just a piece of styrofoam or a golf ball.
