Late Night Affairs
As the holidays wind down again and the preparations for the new school term begin, both physically, mentally and even spiritually, one of the things that we are particularly worried about is the adjustment of sleep and wake-up times.
During a typical school day, they have to rise at around 6.30am. Whereas during the holidays, they would likely not open their eyes until after 9am - sometimes even as late as 11am. Such lazy bums.
So they have to be in bed by 10pm.
However, during the holidays, you would still find people walking around, dancing, listening to EDM (Electronic Dance Music) at 12am or later. Sometimes they might not even have taken a shower at that crazy hour - so in addition to not being in bed, they are also smelly.
So we have an informal "back-to-bed" program which aims to ease them back into regular kid-friendly sane sleeping hours. If everything goes as planned, we won't have any smelly children twirling around, ballerina-style, at midnight in January.
