It will be tomorrow when the fireworks go off
Another year has passed, a new one begins tomorrow. And here I was, thinking it was still 2017. It’s weird.
Everyone is a year older, school is getting tougher and Amber will be doing her PSLE next year. It is going to be an exciting year.
Preparing to let our dreams soar. At Jingtong, Taiwan. |
This year wasn’t too shabby either – I think we did OK – besides the annoying teenage problems (i.e. annoying teenagers) which have taken over our house, we’ve survived with relatively few bruises and scratches and everyone seems fine. Besides the occasional shouting matching, we’re quite peaceful and the earthlings that dwell with us mostly get along.
We had a nice holiday in Taiwan followed by a family getaway in Malaysia – which is always fun for the cousins as they get to spend an extended few days together. During normal days, they actually don’t get to meet often given the grueling school and CCA schedules which every child has grown accustomed to in our fast-paced and time-packed society.
In a few years, Nigel will be in the army and we’ll just let the Ministry of Defence do their job of trying to instill some discipline in him. In the meantime, we’ll continue dealing with loud EDM and underwear all over the floor.
Happy New Year everyone!
