Don't forget to play

As your children get older, the time for play becomes increasingly precious - mainly because
  1. They aren't as playful anymore. Suddenly, the cheerful little 7-year-old has turned into a sulky 10-year-old who would rather read a book, stare into a mini screen or stay at home to finish homework.

  3. The hours and minutes are filled with all kinds of activities and projects which steal away time for the really important stuff, having fun.
So I've put myself on a very important quest in life, basically, to have fun where you are - also known as just-in-time-fun or fun-on-demand, lingo that I think is actually meant for logistics or supply chain.

Put another way - if you can't get to fun, then bring fun to you. Bring out the balloons, keep away your smartphones, grab a trolly from the store and jump into that box. Even if it's just 3 high-speed adrenaline-filled spins around the block, it's better than zero high-speed adrenaline-filled spins around the block.

When we can't find a trolly, we sometimes play thumb-wars or hand slapping. We're also still at the age where it's ok to play catch in the mall!
