Suddenly it's New Year's Eve
We've had a fruitful and fun holiday season for 2017, spending time with the family in Japan and the extended team in Melaka. The year-end school holiday is a precious time of bonding, especially when you have children in school. Also, the other holiday breaks are also typically filled with school activities and exam preparations - and it gets worse each year as they grow and there are more projects and dance concerts/competitions and overseas trips and the such.

TWENTY SEVENTEEN was a PSLE year for us with Shannon spending part of the year mugging away and getting stressed over her preparations. We thought she would have to drop her dance midway so she could focus on her studies - but several people (including Shannon herself) said her ballet lessons was a way for her to de-stress - socializing also helps, which is one reason some girls like to dance, because of friends. So she carried on, and ironically, she danced her way into the Arts school where she will have to continue dancing for the next six years - let's see how that goes!
Everyone else is doing alright and thriving, of sorts - growing, learning and annoying the heck out of each other - which is what family is about, a little. Overall, it was a good year and here's hoping that 2018 will be the same, or maybe better!!
Happy New Year Everyone!
