Amber: Happily Grumpy

Amber celebrating her birthday last year
Every family has a grumpy child, and in ours, it is mostly Amber. Nigel? I wouldn't count as that would be more like teenage angst, which is different from your general case of grumpiness.

When you catch Amber on an off day, or hour, or minute, she has this habit of giving one word answers, shoulder shrugs or just blank stares. She will pout, cross her arms, and if sitting, slide down on her chair until her eyes are level with the surface of the table. Under such circumstances, it is better to stop talking and just let her cool off.

However, she can suddenly spring back to life and give you such a cute and wonderful smile - you need to know what to say and essentially, stop asking about her homework.

Recently, I notice she's been a lot more bubbly and seems to be making an effort to be genuinely more happy. Thank you Amber.
