Minor Celebrity

We have a minor-celebrity in our family now.

Just last week, the dance school the girls attend opened their new studio on East Coast Road. Besides the renovations, new signages, flooring and studio equipment that was done up, the teacher also put up some new pictures of the students. There was a photo shoot session that was conducted several months ago just for this purpose.

Well, Shannon was the lucky one to be picked to be placed right at the front of the studio, facing the main road. You can literally call her the face of Artiste Quotient, at this point at least, until they decide to swap it out for someone else.

She has to stare at herself several times a week.

The photographer catches the moment she lands from a leap. Her arms and legs outstretched, like a graceful bird in flight, or a swan about to take off. Her eyes are fixed on something in the distance, the future. She has a look of determination on her cute little face, not fierce or arrogant, but confident and calm.

Unfortunately, we didn’t see Amber’s picture placed anywhere inside the two storey studio. However, there are still many blank walls waiting to be filled with pictures of elegant dancers in full flight. So, she might get her wall-frame of fame after all.

In the meantime, do keep your eyes peeled for Shannon’s picture and if you see her in person, don’t hesitate to ask her for an autograph too. Although she hasn’t yet perfected her signature, she’ll be happy to scribble a little something for you.
