The Troublesome Teens

Nigel celebrated his 13th birthday over the weekend
The trouble has only just begun - we have an actual live teenager in the house now and nothing will be the same again. All that talk about the troublesome-twos, toddlers running amok, kids struggling with their long division, will all seem so relatively simple when it comes to dealing with the troublesome-teens.

The same rules don't apply - these people talk back, acquire their own friends, arrange their own "play-dates" - which no longer take place in someone's house but could be anywhere from the nearby mall to Universal Studios. You know those rowdy teens that sit at the next table, create a mess and make a lot of noise? Don't they just irritate the heck out of you? Remember when you used to be like that? Now I have an actual member of the family who might be in that group of boys, or at least know some of them.

I wish he was a troublesome-two again. I could just give him a biscuit.
