Amber's First Reconcilliation/Confession

Amber says a short prayer after her confession

Earlier this evening, Amber carried out her first Rite of Reconciliation in our church. She was brave about it - in fact, I think she had completely no feelings of fear or anxiety about speaking to the father at all. It was a breeze for her, and if I'm not wrong, she was smiling all the way, as you can tell from the picture above.

After that, she wanted to have supper to celebrate.

It is then that she commented that she should have had a cup of coffee before the confession as she was really tired and almost had to resort to putting toothpicks in her eyes to prop them open. She then innocently asked if she had to tell anyone what she told the priest. And when I told her no, she didn't have to, she breathed a huge sigh of relief saying, Ahhhh! Thank goodness!

I wonder what that means.
