Today, the trial officially begins, for now
The 2015 PSLE season officially begins today, at least for this week. The games kick off with the Mother Tongue Oral exam followed by the English installment tomorrow.
As I dropped Nigel off earlier in school, I asked him if he was nervous - and as he struggled to get his shoes on in the car, he told me that yes, he was. I told him to be confident, relaxed and if necessary speak in Han Yu Pin Yin. This is because you are then speaking in alphabets instead of the tougher Chinese characters.
Good luck Nigel, you are well prepared and there is nothing to fear except fear itself - and of course deadly bees from a nearby hive.
