This makes me miss them at home

Shannon has been working diligently on her Christmas present over the last several days
School for the new year started today and already, I miss the noisiness that has been a trademark around the house for the past six weeks.

No more chattering in the mornings that wake us up, no more Amber coming to our bed to climb all over me, forcing me to get up only to have her take my place and fall asleep there for another hour.

This morning, everyone got up on time, put on their uniform, ate their breakfast, drank their Milo and got to school on time. I think even though the kids have been saying "Oh no! School is starting soon!", they were looking forward to going back, meeting up with friends and finding out who their new classmates and friends are.

The holidays flew by so fast and we did not get to do all the things we planned. However, I'm glad we managed to spend some quality time together, made some lasting memories and had fun. As our waiter on the cruise kept reminding us, "Whatever you do, have fun!"
