The day Shannon googled herself

Recently, Shannon "googled" herself and found some old write-ups, pictures and a video (with a barbie doll) about her younger life.

This reminded me of this entry I wrote in 2006 and how one day in the future, our kids will be surfing around the Internet and come across stuff about themselves.

How they react, excitedly, fearfully or in disgust is another matter altogether. Shannon, was excited, but she's only ten so maybe it doesn't really count yet.

When she comes across this personal privacy-disregarding content again when she turns twenty, who knows what kind of conversations she might want to have.

But until then, I type away.
