The soccer match

This weekend, we had a nice quiet family outing. We went to watch a football match with 40,000 other football fans who were looking for a similarly nice quiet evening ROARING THEIR SUPPORT FOR SINGAPORE!!

Everyone looking happy and excited, before the match started.
This was the first time Celest has been into the stadium and I believe she had fun, if not a marvelous time. In addition, there were some well-positioned vents that blew cool air into our backsides the entire evening making it quite comfortable and enthralling.

Besides the fact that it was an emotionally charged match which saw Singapore lose the game to the Malaysians in the last four minutes of the match, it was still a rather enjoyable evening and a great experience for all of us - of course, it would have been better is the Lions won, I won't argue with that. But nobody got injured, crushed or trampled upon and everyone (our children included) was rather well behaved. There was lots of "referee kayu" being shouted at the end, which I had to explain to the kids that it meant that people thought the referee was wooden.

So even though we didn't win, we left the stadium with smiles on our faces, and lots of questions.

Until we got stuck for an hour trying to exit the carpark.
