I sometimes listen to music while working

Thursday was the official last day of school and the girls had a dance party. Although it was short (30 mins for the P1s to P5s, 1 hour for the P6s), we (the dad's volunteer team) tried to put on a rockin' show complete with smoke, disco lights, high-tech imagery on the screen and a semi-professional DJ spinning (hard disk) the latest hits!

I haven't DJed for over two decades and I was nervous for several reasons - firstly, I didn't really know the current dance music (who's Charlie XCX and Icona Pop??) and secondly, we never pumped out music while staring into a PC screen while furiously typing commands into the keyboard while using a mouse. I bet everyone thought I was just checking my email or surfing the web.

Overall I think the music came out alright, although I did hit wrong keys a few times either stopping the music completely or sending the next song out a bit too early. Luckily the audience was forgiving and you could always make up for it by playing "All About That Bass".
