Staying inspired

The five of us at the Fairprice Walk 2014
Inspiration is the fuel that we need to keep going - as employees, as parents, as humans. However, many a time, we run out of this petrol and the energy level seems so low that you just want to lie down all day and cups of coffee don't really have any effect.

How do you get inspired? It's different for each person - it could be inspirational pictures on the wall, talking to people and getting advice, watching video clips or listening to Katy Perry sing Roar. All those work for me at different times, but I guess the true inspiration is watching my family and children grow as a unit, from a bunch of rowdy people into a team of rowdy people - a team, obviously, work together and target rowdiness as a common goal.

I also have to appreciate each moment I have with the kids, as growing is such a fleeting process and each chance you get to do something with them could be a truly once-off precious event. So get inspired, energised and rowdy, all at the same time.
