Hold their necks
Given the daily events around us, we know how fragile life
can be, and how fleeting the time we spend here with our loved ones is. Why is
it that it takes a tragedy happening somewhere else for us to be reminded that
the people around us are precious.
Put your hands in the air like you just don't care |
Hold your spouse, your children, your parents, your family
and treasure that moment – for that moment is all you can be sure of, and
nothing else. Be with them, in heart, mind and soul. Speak to them with your
words and eyes and see deep within them who they are, were and want to become.
Be to them all that you can be – go crazy, laugh and rejoice for life is here
for you.
Whatever they did – failed their spelling, spit out food,
poked their sibling in the eye, it doesn’t really matter because we have the
power of reasoning and conversation and some kids are just silly.
Even if words escape you and the weather is just too hot,
just hold their hand, arm or neck and enjoy the magic of human touch.
