Holly Jolly Christmas

When I hear that song, I think back to Christmas last year (or was it two years ago?) when I was "forced" to join the rest of the marketing team to walk around the office caroling to raise money for a children's home. That's when I learnt the lyrics to some of the other not-so-traditional songs like Rocking Around The Christmas Tree, Deck The Halls and Here Comes Santa Claus.

This year, there was no such singing in the office, but the church choir that we are in did one session in a choir-member’s house to close out the year with a song and makan session. I think back to the days when the choir did go around to several houses in the build up to the big day – sometimes 3 houses in one night, with a chartered bus and everything. Those days were fun, I’m not sure if the kids remember, maybe Nigel does.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas day yesterday – keep on celebrating, keep on remembering the true reason for Christmas and also, spare a thought for the less fortunate in the world.
