Amber's not with us tonight

The kindergarten we send the kids to has a yearly tradition for the K2s that involves an overnight stay, normally in the school itself.

This year, Amber is K2 and tonight, is the overnight stay - the last night of term 2. So tonight is the first time that she has stayed away from the family on her own. Well, I won't say on her own because there are 30 other children there with a bunch of teachers, so she's surrounded by good company.

Some of her friends opted-out of staying but she wanted in. Last night, it looked like she had second thoughts after listening to some scary scenarios/stories as told by her elder siblings - but Celest stepped in and put a stop to the nonsense. And so tonight, there is one less person in our home.

I hope she's sleeping well and not busy disturbing the other kids by whispering ghost stories into their ears. How fun! I wish I was in K2 all over again!!
