Acquiring knowledge, realisation

As children grow, their eyes start to open, both physically and intellectually.

Things that they see everyday suddenly become questionable - as in, how come this happens, how come that happens.Life is suddenly full of queries and "hmm, how come I never thought of this". All of a sudden, they refuse to accept things at face value and throw difficult questions at you. I'm getting a bit worried.

Nigel has this habit of making fun of what you say. It's almost like he's mocking you - is it a sign of intelligence or naughtiness? Or maybe a bit of both? When he come up with a joke and makes you the victim, should you get angry with him (and maybe kill of his enthusiasm and creativity) or should you laugh along with him and encourage him to fling more insults at you? Such difficult scenarios to deal with.
