Making Marriages
Friends your age-group.
Once upon a time, everyone was graduating. Then they were getting jobs. Soon some got married. Then came the houses, cars, cash, and of course the children.
Unfortunately, now it's time for the divorces. Once I could honestly say I didn't know anyone in our "batch" who was divorced, but that's no longer true.
So what makes a marriage work? Ours?
Well, it's hard to say - and it will not apply to everyone. But if I could sum it up, I'd say it is an ability to overlook flaws (everyone has them), having a common belief (in something other than yourself) and a wanting to succeed (no matter what). As with anything else, like your job for example, once you start having that negative feeling and a growing need to get out, it will start eating at your heart and things might just suddenly start falling apart around you.
Stay strong and hold on tight.
For those that have had no choice and decided to make the move, things understandingly look different on your end. But life is your journey and is all about second chances. Learn from your mistakes and be a (wo)man - do the right thing.
