Mother's Day Celebration
In the midst of all the bustle about the Election, Osama Bin Laden and the rest of the worries of the adult world, our children carry on with what really excites them in their schools, with friends and siblings. It's cute how innocent and sincere they are, and how little wonderful things can light up their faces to give them those huge beaming smiles.
Shannon has been practising very hard and has been so looking forward to the Mothers' Day celebration that she and her classmates will be putting up for all mothers tomorrow. From more than a month ago, she has been going on and on about it, telling me, not telling Celest, saying it's a secret, but wanting to blurt it out at the same time - I can see it in her eyes that she's just bursting at the seams and is really super-looking forward to it. I heard her say earlier that her teacher and friends prayed really hard for good weather tomorrow and that all the mummies would come join in the fun and be just as thrilled.
Happy Mummies Day in advance all!
