The year is ending
The days are just zooming by and 2010 is coming quickly to a close. What have you done? No matter what I try, filling the days with activities, nothing seems to be able to stop the hands of time. Minute by minute, hour, day, each quantum quickly flies by as we crash down the tunnel to 00:00:00 01/01/11.
The kids, impervious to all this simply enjoy their time, their holiday before another school term begins.
So, what have we done in 2010? Basically a lot of growing.
Nigel had a great Primary One, seemingly enjoying academic life and taking to his school books quite easily. We think he's smart. He wants to be a scientist, no more race cars and fighter jets.
Shannon is blossoming as a caring and giving person, interspersed with girly grouchiness. She likes her friends and her dancing.
Amber is beginning to talk a lot - sometimes comical, sometimes nonsense, but always lovable and unpredictable. She's beginning to understand the social structure of the universe but still puts on a big fuss and whine show when she can't get her lollipop.
To be honest, it has been a wild ride and will not get any smoother. Our home is filled with shouts, squeals, screams and singing - not always in that order, and not always in happy tones. But I believe that is the norm, and our neighbours have yet to call the cops on us. If we need witnesses or someone to bail us out for causing public disturbance, we might need to call you.
Enjoy the last bits of 2010!
