What an early morning
This morning, I (with Celest's help) got Nigel and Shannon out of bed at 5.30am to take them to the Bedok Jetty in order to catch the first rays of sunlight (and the first bites of mosquitoe). Unfortunately, it was so cloudy that we spent more time trying to pick out animal shapes in the sky, and the mosquitoes had a nice feast on my legs.
The funny thing about the sun is that even before it actually rose (based on Google's indication of 7.02am), the sky was kind of bright already - see the picture on the right, which is rather misleading. I think maybe NASA should do something to fix that.
Anyhow, the kids are totally zonked out now and I promise not to wake them up early again tomorrow, even though I'm quite sure it will not be cloudy.
Two days to Christmas - and our tree is already started to look like it is floating on presents. :)
