The holidays are here, let's go to the carnival!
Looks like it's going to be a ritual of sorts, sending the kids on a weeklong "holiday camp". In June, Nigel went to a Space-themed one. This time, it is based on a Circus Carnival and he brought his sister along too.
What do they do there? A mixture of cooking, art, games, singing I guess - and a whole lot of mixing around with the other children, not from their regular school. It's like a whole week of partying, fun and making new friends, what's not to like?
For me? It's waking up at 7.30am in the morning to drop them there before taking the train to work.
Then again, holidays are not just about sending the children for holiday programs and extra lessons - we must also take the opportunity to spend quality time with them. Time that they cannot afford during the normal school term.
Happy Holidays Kids!! I'll party with you guys real soon!
