Made it through the Ice Age
We brought Nigel and Shannon to watch Ice Age 3D this weekend and I'm glad to report that we made it through alive, without any whining, crying, or sudden needs to scream and run out of the theater. The fact that it was in 3D made it an even bigger deal.
I think this is probably the first full-length movie that Shannon has watched in a cinema - Nigel? He's a veteran.
I was sitting next to Shannon and although she didn't cry, had to remove her 3D glasses several times, although I'm not sure if it was to check the popcorn or to prevent the T-Rex from biting her (and that T-Rex was pretty scary, even to me). I was half expecting her to tell me to take her out of the hall, but she didn't. The show wasn't really what I expected, which was a happy, funny, non-scary show - damn these movie people!
I think this was significant hurdle for Shannon to cross. From now on, no more cinema fear!
