Taste like poison
Given the recent poisoning cases that have been reported in the news, it really calls to mind the fact that each time we choose to east outside, at a coffee-shop, hawker centre, restaurant or somewhere similar, we are really putting our safety into the hands of someone else.
It makes my stomach churn to know that our very lives could literally be poisoned, either accidentally or even on purpose, by crooked cooks, unhygienic practises or just a filthy environment. Rats running around, cockroaches and the invisible germs - lurking everywhere. We really have to close our eyes, pop the stuff in our mouths, chew, swallow and pray hard.
Yes, we continue to enjoy the dining out experience. Dicing with death? Or do we just have an appetite for risk?
