The nightly trip to the loo
Still being "trained", we have to occasionally take Shannon to the toilet in the middle of the night to make sure she doesn't wet her bed.
Normally I carry this rather limp little girl over my shoulder and walk the 10 steps to the bathroom where I sit her on the pot. After that, she wobbles back to her bed in semi-darkness.
Last night at 4am, I did the same thing. But just as I got her off the bowl and pulled her pyjama pants up, she said "Daddy, don't flush until I say OK" as I think she doesn't like the loud wooshing water sound. She then proceeded to hobble out of the toilet and actually gave a relatively loud "OK!" as she disappeared round the bend into the blackness. And I thought she was half-asleep!
She even managed to close her room door, which normally does not happen.
