Daylight saving affects us too

You'd think - nah, nothing to do with us, we have no winter, no spring, nothing - so when those living in the West turn activate Daylight Saving and move their clocks forward by an hour, it does not affect us at all.

But it does. For the love of globalization and an increasingly connected workforce and world, I now have to wake up at 6am again for these energy-sapping "early morning conference calls" with my colleagues sitting in various parts of the U.S.

It's a yearly ritual that will last slightly longer than 6 months before I get another hour of sleep again.

Darn! But as I mentioned to a friend, suddenly everyone loves their job. Even if it means have to talk intelligibly on the phone before the sun rises.
