Eat and go mad
Can you imagine, after all these years, Nigel (and occasionally Shannon) still has a major problem eating quickly. He stares at things, fiddles with his cup, plays imaginary piano and listens to the ongoing conversations. There's food in his mouth sometimes, but that's where it tends to stay for 5 minutes. We think he's trying to let his saliva break the food down into more easily digestible bits, but more likely he's just dreaming about driving his Blue Subaru STi.
Celest goes crazy at his nonchalance and threatens to take his food away, make him starve. There's a picture of an Ethiopian boy sitting on the side table which I suspect is shown to him, but the effect isn't working any more.
Eat fast and grow big. Technically it doesn't make sense, and I think he's starting to figure it out, just can't put the right words to it yet - give him a couple more months. It should be more like eat fast and get out of the dining room to play, do your homework or practise piano. Yet, he sits there and stares and drives everyone, especially Celest, mad.
