Shannon got herself scratched
Last night at a family Christmas party, Shannon fell off a big chair and got a big scratch on her face. There was blood and tears, but nothing permanent.
This morning, we sent her to school as usual as she has an excursion to the fire station.
No need to draw extra attention to her injured face, kids will get over it both physically and emotionally. We don't need to point it out as that will only make them self-concious and shy. For me, I'm just treating her like usual - but I guess I'll be giving in to the whinny little girl a bit more over the next few days.
