Afternoon at the drift show

I wanted to go early, but Fred came back late, so we all ended up there beyond my target time ... which was GOOD!!

I don't know what type of organising these people do - but I guess when you attend a show that's put together by guys that spend more time driving their WRXs and Skylines around than typing schedules and marketing material into spreadsheets, then that's what you get.

The turnout was quite bad, to say the least - perhaps it's because it was a Monday and everyone that wanted to come already came over the weekend. Note to organisers, make sure the event ends during the weekend if you want a big bang - but they wanted the new year eve fireworks display I guess, not sure how that will go.

Anyway, we did still have a good time watching the Japanese drifter and some Singaporeans spin (literally) round the track. One of them even crashed "through the barricades" (by Spandau Ballet) and got his front bumper ripped. Lots of burning rubber, some smoke (mainly Japanese) and 4 hours of looking of fast cars (some stationary, some in a drag race too).

Good thing it was windy too!
