First week of the forth term
So it's back to school for the last term this week and the children are once again with their friends in the morning.
To complete my holiday week update, here was the programme for the weekend:
Friday afternoon was spent at Frisk 'n' Romp (we're going there once a month on the first Friday now). It's quite a fun mix of free play and organised activities - although there are occasionally bigger kids that get a bit rough. But hey, there will always be big ruffians in the world, they need to learn how to deal with them.
On Saturday, Dad brought Nigel to watch "The Listener", an SSO concert for young children. The rest of us walked around Marina Square waiting for them to meet us after the finished as the Esplanade.
Sunday was Lego building competition day at the Harbourfront. It was organised by Creststar (where Nigel goes for his piano lessons) and I really didn't expect us to win (but Celest was - after all, the prize was a free trip to Denmark or some other exotic European destination) but we thought it would have been a fun activity for Celest to do with Nigel and Shannon.
As expected, Celest did most of the work building "my home" (which turned out looking more like a mini Mars rover) while the kids assisted by arranging the bricks and putting finishing touches here and there. At the end, it was more about having fun, family bonding and the free box of lego and Crestar vouchers. Nothing like some serious head-to-head competition to get to know your children better!
