Patting into Dreamland
My current favourite picture of Amber
I've been tasked to put Amber to bed recently as Celest reads story books and revises Chinese stuff with Nigel and Shannon. She is generally quite easy to sooth - some singing and backside thumping normally does the trick; after 10 minutes of violent tossing, turning, head-banging into the mattress, she falls asleep and zooms into dreamland.
A colleague of mine asked me recently if the older kids are jealous that there is a baby in the house that steals attention from them. Well, I don't really think they notice - they're too busy calling each other names, stealing each other's toys and chasing each other around book stores (Celest can elaborate on that last point).
