What's good about being grown up
When your children start attending school (or kindergarten in our case now), you realise what's good about being grown up - it's not having to attend school at all because you've graduated from that phase of life and can move away from having to sit in classrooms and prepare for tests and exams and so on.
However, these kids of ours really seem to love school. In sickness and health, rainy or wet. After our first month-long holiday (only applicable to Nigel), he was raring to go back and meet his friends again! Shannon too, goes on and on above how much she likes her friends, the rabbits and so on - in other words, she very proud of her school and tends to brag about it in a way. And to think about how we chose it because it's just on the next street! I guess it goes to show how flexible children can be and are so innocently accepting of what we provide to them - no judging, no whining, just pure enthusiasm and longing.
It gets tougher from here I guess; What's worse than having to sit for tests and exams yourself? It's being the parent of someone who's sitting for tests and exams. Think about it ... wait, actually don't. I'm trying not to for the next year and a half at least :)
