High Oil - good for the Environment, bad for the Economy
I guess it depends who you're rooting for - mother Earth or the GDP.
High oil prices mean that pollution would decrease, carbon emissions would decline, and a lot more thought would go into energy usage and wastage.
On the other hand, the economy will slow down as costs rise.
What a time to be alive.
On the bright side, future generations will benefit from better, cleaner and more efficient technology, triggered and funded by the high oil prices of this decade. Looking back, it might not have been such a bad thing after all.
