Insistence on Independence
Being independent and doing things on their own is something all parents look forward to in their children. But then they overdo it.
For example, they want to turn off the tap.
Daddy: (Turns off the tap)
Nigel/Shannon: No daddy, I want to turn off the tap.
N/S: (Turns tap on again)
N/S: (Turns off the tap)
N/S: There.
Same thing can be applied to various other situations like turning on (or off) the television, opening (or closing) the piano and eating noodles. Joking about the eating noodles part. Gross.
