Sandy Sentosa
We spent the last 3 days in Sentosa for a short break because of the 1-week holiday for Nigel's kindergarten. This is the first, in what's going to be a long spell of school-holiday only vacations which will comprise of local and overseas trips for the family.
What was once a holiday for us, and then became of no concern, is now back again to become a part of our lives.
So, given the tight timeframe (it's also Nigel's birthday party on Saturday), we took a simple holiday to Sentosa at the Siliso Beach Resort.
It was nice, cosy and quiet. The only problem we had was the rain - but Sentosa has a fair bit of indoor activities too like the Underwater (you're under already, can't get any more wet) World, 4D Magic and the cable cars. We could also have gone up the Sky Tower, but didn't have enough time.
But we did manage to work our way around the rain and spend some time on the beach. Seems like we caught the only available dry stretch during those 3 days and got a whole hour of sand-playing and "boating" in our new dinghy. Good thing the water wasn't very choppy.
We had dinner on both nights at, guess where - Vivocity. Staying on the island gets you free access to the monorial which brings you back to Vivocity in 10 mins - so why not? Sentosa food isn't really very cheap.
The children had fun and got really tired - although Nigel wasn't initially too pleased about sleeping on the floor.
