Nigel and Shannon's friends
I believe the thing that really makes or breaks an enjoyable school life is the friends you have. Once a child finds a like-minded bunch of friends that they can click with, whatever age they are at, bingo! school is fun.
It doesn't matter if these friends just sit around at those cute little tables eating together in relative silence, or if they run around and laugh like crazy hooligans, - friends just make the experience so much more exciting and gives them something to look forward to the next day. We're happy to say that both kids are now thoroughly enjoying their school lives and have no qualms saying goodbye in the morning. They want to meet Frea, Chloe, Rebecca, Ian, Gabriel and gang.
Nigel's bus comes around 7.45am (yawn!!) while Mum and Dad have taken on the responsibility to walking Shannon to her school, getting some early morning walking exercise at the same time.
So the mornings are relatively quiet now, except for the occasional squawks and screeches of another young one who probably can't wait to meet her own set of friends in a couple of years!
