Scary and "woo hoo!"
I was listening to the radio last night and the DJ made a comment that the new year was just around the corner which is both scary and "woo hoo!". And it got me thinking - how very true that statement is.
The years just seem to fly fly fly by!! A whole year just went by, 365 days - in a flash. We're almost a decade into the new century right now - wasn't it just a couple of years back when we had the whole Y2K fiasco?
At the same time, a new year brings new hope, new challenges and things to look forward to. Actually, even if it wasn't for a new year, there would still be new challenges right? Does the fact that we change from 2007 to 2008 mean anything new in terms of commitments, things to do, and hope for? I guess it's more symbolic.
Whatever it is - take time to appreciate each day before it fades into the years. Next thing you know, we'll be worried about the Y3K bug.
