Boys Hangout
It was a busy Sunday and the children were obviously quite tired in the afternoon. However, had an opportunity to hangout with a Matthew, a boy about a year older than him. This was at our choir member's house where dad was conducting a retreat.
So, we decided to leave him there for a couple of hours to give him an opportunity to interact with a polite, articulate and intelligent Matthew. Nigel seemed to warm up to him very quickly and they ended up sitting down and talking. Very different from the running around and screaming which he does at home.
I think it gave him an opportunity to expand his intellectual side and build on his communication skills (among children his own age). Overall, he had a really fun time - although we will probably never know what new things he learnt that afternoon.
