United 93

We just finished watching the movie "United 93" which is based the 9/11 terrorist attacks which happened 5 years ago.

It's actually quite a painful movie to watch as it's very emotional and tense. Definitely not a happy movie you will sit down together with the family and friends to enjoy with popcorn. It kept me sitting up almost the whole time - instead of the usual half-lying down position we normally watch movies in.

The part which was the most heart-wrenching was when the passengers knew that they were going to die and started making phone calls to their loved ones. It is then when you see the out-pouring of love - things that were not said for years. "I love yous" were flowing freely and people spent time reflecting on their lives and praying. People were shaking out of fear, anticipating the end. What would you do in these last few moments of your life? Suddenly, everything else we "treasure" would seem so trivial.
