Busy Busy
We did a defects checking yesterday @our new place. There are still many unfinished work but it's understandable. With 517 units, I'm amazed how much patience the supervisor has. His phone was ringing non stop with people complaining about the defects in their units & others making appointments to have their place checked. We targeted next Wednesday to have the place ready so we can have the furniture delivered and paint job done.
Today, we spent almost the whole afternoon @Balestier looking for light fixtures & fans for our place. The original dining area light I wanted was sold out & we ended up spending more on a different model. It's imported from Italy, which explains the price. Anyhow, it looked good & more importantly, we both agreed on the choice (you cannot imagine the number of arguments we've had since we bought the place!).
We also bought a leather sofa from LifeStorey when we went to Great World City for dinner with my parents. It was such a snap decision you won't believe how long we took to decide & pay for it. Barely 5 mins! It was like "Oh, this set is on sale, let's try it. Ok, feels alright, looks alright. What colors does it come in? When can you deliver? We'll get it!" I mean, 5 mins for something that costs almost $1500?!? I've never made decisions that fast & thinking about it now scares me! I sure hope we don't regret our choice!
Setting up a new house is tedious work but it's fun! I can't wait to see how all the pieces fit together when it's all done.
