Of unwanted comments
Recently, comments made by leaders (religious and political alike) have sparked controversy and anger amongst neigbours and friends. These have raised debate and tensions and will likely cause mis-understanding at all levels, from top leaders down to the common folks, in the offices to the streets. In some countries, these would have these would have the power to trigger riots, fights, terrorism and even lead to bigger wars and bloodshed.
I'm sure the comments were not intended for these. The media and extremists like to twist and zoom-in on any remark that might sell more papers and ignite the fire of passion. For money or support, there is always a chance. There are those who do not wish for harmony and peace and always live on the edge of opportunity to spark off an outcry and instigate a fight. Their motivations baffle those who love peace.
Sometimes it's better to not comment. As my grandmother used to say - "If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything". Ensure your words are filled with love and praise, if not for God, then at least for your fellow men.
Let's learn from our leaders.
