Fireworks in the distance
Hung out at East Coast Park this evening with Deb, Merv and Saffie (Bern and Roanne showed up later) with the aim of watching the first fireworks show of this year's National Day celebrations!
Practically jogged to the Big Splash jetty (er .. I declare that the official name now!) just in time to catch the fireworks - which were blocked behind these huge bunch of trees. Merv was supposed to ensure they were chopped down (logging is not environmentally friendly) or trimmed (better).
I think they moved the fireworks in-land into the actual bay area - last year they were further out at Marina South when we thought they would be in-land. Heck - they're doing this just to throw us off!
Good thing we have 3 more nights of fireworks to go - let's try to get the next one (Tuesday I think) right.
