Nigel in the driver's seat
At this age, Nigel wants to do everything himself. This would include:
+ peeing and flushing the toilet
+ turning on and off the taps
+ making his milk
+ turning off the light switches
+ putting on his socks
+ driving home from church
His independence is a good thing - I think, and we must always remember never to discourage him from trying and doing new things. I think if we keep telling him "no, you can't do this or that", he would eventually become a very negative and unconfident person. So, we have to instill a sense of courage and adventure, at the same time try to instill discipline and take safety into consideration.
Ok Nigel, drive us home!
