So our "AC" is busted again

Last night our air-conditioner started making really loud scraping noises - initially it was just a metallic humming noise which sounded like a supercomputer processing. We turned it off and the sound went away. But when we turned it back on - the started sounded like an A380 starting up and we were afraid that Shannon would have woken up. It was scary too, like bits of fan blade might come spinning out of the unit.

So we slept using the fan - and it was a really hot night. I think Shanny felt it too as she kept waking up - poor girl was screaming away (Celest wasn't thinking "poor girl" though) and we had to change her to a sleeveless outfit to keep her cool. Nigel, however, slept quite well - he doesn't use aircon - but woke up quite early at around 6am. Maybe he's getting ready to go to school?
